2022 Performers!

Victor Rubilor: After winning 25 international awards and 5 Guinness World Records, Victor’s highly technical talents are to be taken seriously. This cheeky and irreverent yet charming Argentinian tickles the funny-bone of all who watch. Never taking himself too seriously, he knows how to have fun and get the audience laughing with him. The show culminates in a unique ‘knock your socks off’ juggling set that only Victor can perform. He combines juggling with footballs, dance and audience interaction to create a 20-45 minute show that is like a party on stage.

Sarah Teakle’s 80’s Circus Show: Get ready to feel nostalgic for the 80’s whether you grew up in them or not! While Sarah Teakle was born a couple decades too late to experience the music, fashion, and big hair of the ’80s, it didn’t stop her from wishing she had. In this show, Sarah combines her love of aerobics and circus to create something truly unique. Her high-energy hula hooping, juggling skills, ridiculous aerobics, and daring finale will make everyone wish they had brought their leotards and leg warmers along with them.

ALAKAZAM- “Tennis the Menace”: ALAKAZAM’s new alter ego “TENNIS THE MENACE” is sure to cause a real Racket! Featuring his 3 favorite things. Tennis, Circus Stunts, and Short Shorts. A festival favorite in 38 countries, this Aussie has accumulated 23 international street theater awards.  ALAKAZAM is truly, a one-man ENTERTAINMENT HURRICANE! Don’t miss this Grand Finalist on “Australia’s Got talent” and Bruce Springsteen’s favorite street performer.

Checkerboard Guy: Be it deftly manipulating balls, clubs, axes, machetes and even stinky shoes, or riding a giraffe unicycle, audiences are immersed in an interactive arena that blurs the line between skill-based comedy performance and games show, one which the entire audience is invited to be a contestant.

Michael Conway Magic takes audiences on a wild ride performing stage magic, street entertainment, and private functions. A showman for over 15 years, Michael has toured the province surprising and engaging audiences.

Alex Wilkie: Alex has been performing speed spray painting in front of live audiences for more than a decade and loves that he gets to call St. John’s home. Come say hello and watch as he creates beautiful space scenery in less than 5 minutes!

Pixie Mama Face Painting

Pixy Mama started painting on people 12 years ago for her daughter’s 5th birthday party. Having had previous experience as a visual artist she picked up a starter kit and how to book and gave it a whirl. Things grew quickly from there and she never looked back, finding much more joy in the interactive temporary art of painting on skin rather than that of painting on canvas. She feels the energy that is exchanged and the smiles that result from applying a splash of colour to the skin is magical and rewarding for everyone involved, in both a creative and feel-good community way.  Her daughter, now 17, naturally has gravitated to body art having been immersed in it since childhood, now forming a dynamo Pixy Mama / daughter paint team!
