The George Street Festival has won a national award from Up! Magazine. The festival was one of 200 events chosen by the magazine for its value award, which recognizes events offering good value to customers.
Up! is WestJet's in-flight magazine and value awards winners are chosen by WestJet passengers. This year's George Street Festival starts Thursday, July 31 and ends on Tuesday, August 5. For more information visit www.georgestreetfestival.com
Come one, come all to the Downtown Development Commission’s Fifth Annual Downtown Busker Festival! This year offers an exciting mix of National, International and local talent from sword swallowing to death defying coffin escapes, as well as a few familiar faces from previous festivals!
Taking place August 8th, 9th and 10th, the Busker Festival provides audience members with a unique opportunity to see a different act every half hour starting at 1:00 pm all the way until 10:00 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you miss a performance one day of the festival, no problem! You can catch it at another location downtown during the same day or another day of the festival.
Located at three prominent locations in the Downtown core including; Pier 7, Scotia Center deck and Murray Premises, the festival provides a fun family oriented event with acts suitable for all ages to enjoy.
