New Shoes for You and You June 18, 2008

A new shoe store has hit the Downtown shopping scene at 254 Water Street not far from Auntie Crae's. You You Shoes has hundreds of women's shoes and a few purses in styles that seem quite new to this city.

Tony Qi and Meng Zhu are a couple from China who moved here separately 5 years ago and met at MUN while completing degrees in math and Business. They are running the place on their own for now, and since they opened up on June 7th, Zhu says despite the cold weather, lots of people have been stopping by to have a look.

They've certainly got a wide selection to feast your feet on, in sizes ranging from 6-10. And, if you need a larger or smaller size, Zhu says it can be brought in within a week.

Zhu says she wanted to bring a new selection of footwear to St. John's. "I love shoes and everytime I try to find a pair of shoes for myself, it's not easy," she says. "There are not many shoe stores here, and every time I've brought back shoes from China, my friends love them. So that's basically how the idea came up."
