Tempt your taste buds at the first annual Savour food & wine Show.
Savour, the largest food and wine show east of Montreal, has arrived in St. John’s and will take place this evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Delta St. John’s. The show will feature over 40 food, wine and beverage exhibitors. The Savour food & wine show is organized by the Restaurant Association of Newfoundland Labrador. RANL was recently established to positively affect change by identifying and addressing relevant issues to improve the operating environment of the restaurants and food service establishments in Newfoundland Labrador.
In addition to sampling gourmet products, consumers can vote for their favorite foods, beverages and booths in the Best of Show consumer’s choice. Results for the Best of Show will be announced by the end of April.
“Eating, drinking and socializing is what Savour is all about,” says Jennifer Barbour, President of RANL. “The term “mingle-licious” was used to describe the show by a consumer at one of the original shows and we feel that is a perfect definition for Savour.”
RANL, believes it is important for the food industry to help combat hunger in Newfoundland Labrador. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to Community Food Share Association, a registered charity to help feed the hungry.
