BOMA Go Green Program March 11, 2008

BOMA Newfoundland and Labrador is delighted to announce the local launch of BOMA Canada*s Go Green Program, a national environmental recognition and certification program for commercial buildings.

BOMA Go Green is a national program developed by BOMA Canada, in partnership with local BOMA associations, demonstrating in a tangible way that BOMA Canada and building owners across the country have the environment on the forefront of their agenda.

The overall objective of BOMA Go Green is to encourage as many
buildings as possible across Canada to become Go Green certified, and
for Go Green to become known as a desirable, reliable standard. It is a
unique, comprehensive program that has been developed by our industry,
for our industry. Importantly for all participants, the certification
process is rigorous, but not onerous.

The Go Green program will provide the tools to enable building owners
to reduce energy consumption and operating costs, as well as improving
waste management. Other benefits include attracting new tenants,
improving buildings' public image as environmentally conscious, and
providing tangible assessments as to how well a building is performing.

Designed for buildings of all sizes, BOMA Go Green touches on all
aspects of building management and operation, including:

· Resource Consumption
· Waste Reduction & Recycling
· Building Materials
· Interior Environment
· Tenant Awareness

The Go Green program comprises two elements in which buildings and
firms can choose to participate. While Go Green is a *best
practices* model, Go Green Plus adds a more in-depth benchmarking
tool, for firms and buildings requiring or desiring this type of
program. Certification is valid for three years and Go Green recognition
materials are provided for display at the building.

We hope that you will take the time to review the material provided on
our website www.bomanl.com and apply soon to receive your certification
as one of Canada's environmental leaders.
